Patient and Public Involvement

Welcome to our PPI website

The NHS describes Patient and Public Involvement as the active participation of patients, carers and the public in the development of Healthcare services. PPI here at Heartlands helps to improve communication between staff and the patient, giving better awareness of health conditions and treatment plans to achieve better outcomes.

Apart from delivering and supporting a variety of services in order to enhance the patient experience, PPI is also a legal requirement for NHS organisations to involve and consult patients and the public.

Do you have a long-term health condition? If you are one of 17 million people in the UK living with at least one long-term health condition then EPP could help you improve your life.
Need advice, have concerns or don't know where to turn? Then PALS a confidential service can give you on-the-spot help, advice and support.

Have you what it takes to become an NHS volunteer? Volunteers can make the patient experience more comfortable and staff time more efficient.

Do you wish to create a patient survey? Then our Survey Team will be more than happy to assist and guide you through the process. This service is also available to external customers.
